Look around eBay and you will find plenty of people selling this image. The only difference between those and this one, is this is 100% original and authentic. This is not a copy or reproduction or even a 2nd generation photo. This is one of the most famous images of Ruth you will ever see, and its a Type 1 (slabbed by Beckett) original photo. Dated Sep 12, 1919 the photo features Ruth hard at work, rolling cigars. Earlier in the day Ruth had 2 RBI's while batting cleanup for the Red Sox in a loss to the Indians. Little did he know it at the time, but he would only play 12 more games for the Red Sox. What happened after that? I think you know the answer. Measuring 8x10 overall and in remarkably great shape, no wrinkles, creases or tears.

Iconic images of Ruth usually fetch (particularly with the Red Sox) are extremely highly sought after by collectors and usually bring in the $10,000 area. This is for the Ruth collector who wants one of the finest (and most original) images ever taken of the Bambino.

Im sorry for the poor images but the sturdy Beckett holder makes it tough. Beckett has called this an Authentic TYPE 1 photo. For those that don't know, type 1 means it is an original item from that period (not produced later)

SINCE THIS ITEM HAS BEEN AUTHENTICATED BY BECKETT THERE WILL BE NO RETURNS ON THIS ONE
