FAQ- some common questions about Alfa AWUS036H 1000mW USB adapter w/ 5 dBi and 9 dBi antenna kit: Can I manually adjust the output power? -Alfa includes a new utility that allows you to control the maximum output power in Windows. Why would this adapter work better than a generic 1000mW USB adapter, since they both have the same output power? -1000mW refers to the maximum output power at which the device can operate. It is important to read the fine print. Many generics can technically output at 1000mw max, but can only do so at very slow connection speeds. The other important distinction is the chipset. The Alfa has a Realtek RTL8187 chip which is the most sensitive Realtek G chipset. Many generics will say they use a Realtek chipset just like Alfa, but they use an RT8187B chip, which has much weaker receive sensitivity. Alfa also puts their item though much stricter quality control tests and high quality manufacturing processes, meaning your adapter is likely to last much much longer than a cheaply assembled knockoff. How far away can I pick up signals with this? -For this question there is no exact answer. Wireless range is an imperfect science. The range you get with any adapter will vary markedly depending on the strength and quality of the wireless access point being used, as well as obstacles and interference in the area. Keep in mind that interference can often be invisible. The Alfa is the longest range and most powerful standalone wireless adapter on the market at the time of this writing. Basically, if this kit does not work for you, you will likely need to look into some sort of high gain outdoor setup. If you are trying to pick up signals from far away, and are not sure this will give you enough range, please contact us with details about your situation and we may be able to offer an opinion.

US 50 States + Puerto Rico: $6.00 US Postal Priority Mail. This includes delivery confirmation and insurance. According to the US Postal Service, Priority Mail takes an average of 2-3 delivery days to arrive. This is not a guaranteed transit time though, it is just an average delivery time.

International Shipping Rates & Customs Duty Information: Please read our International shipping guide here. This auction ships worldwide via Standard First Class mail. $18.95 ($12.95 to Canada)- yes US Post Office hiked rates by about 50% in 2016, so unfortunately rates are much higher than in the past. This takes about 2-4 weeks to arrive. This is primarily because the item can be held at customs for inspection for a long period.

*Import duties and taxes are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up- do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. GENERAL NONPAYMENT POLICY- Remember that your purchase is a contract to pay for the item. Please don't click the "Buy Now" button unless you will pay for the item. Payment is due within seven days from the end of auction. If you have a problem completing the auction, please communicate with us. Please make sure this is the item you want before buying as once an auction is won or purchased unfortunately because of nonrefundable eBay listing and feature fees we are unable to accommodate cancellations (exception- if you buy the wrong type of adapter for your computer, such as a laptop card when you meant to buy a desktop card, we can switch your order to the correct type).




The following is our return policy. We are not able to make exceptions to this policy so please read carefully before making a purchase. While we would greatly appreciate your business, if you are not in full acceptance and agreement with these terms unfortunately at this time you are not eligible to bid or select "buy it now" on the auction. Bidding or selecting "buy it now" on this or any of our auctions constitutes full acceptance and agreement with all of our auction terms including our return policy.

At Rokland, our products are guaranteed to work for 30 days. Additionally, we want customers to be able to return products that they don't want, don't like, or did not mean to buy. That said, we do incur costs for each return, such as the nonrefundable eBay listing and feature fees. If an item returned was new, we must resell it for much less money as a used open box item. Therefore, we charge a minimal 10% restocking fee on all returned items (new and used), except for products that test defective upon receipt back here. We believe this is a fair policy as most eBay sellers do not allow for any non-defective items to be returned at all, and the ones that do typically charge a 20% restocking fee. Again, this 10% restocking fee will be applied to all returns except where a product is reported to us as defective and tests defective upon receipt back here (if the product you return is defective we can send a replacement at our expense or issue a refund of the item price, whichever you prefer). A restocking fee WILL be charged even in the event a product does not work on your PC due to incompatibility or a conflict with another piece of hardware on your system, so long as the product is not defective. We can work with you to troubleshoot the problem if you have any difficulty getting it to work. We will not charge a restocking fee if you wish to exchange a non-defective product for something else, however a new shipping charge will apply for the new shipment.

If you do wish to return a product, please contact us for an RMA number and return address instructions. In addition to the restocking fee (which will be deducted from your refund), shipping and return shipping expenses are not refundable under any circumstance unless we ship you the incorrect product. In the event we send the wrong item, we will send the correct one to you at our expense and also reimburse you for your return shipping of the incorrect product.

There are no other warranties on this auction, expressed or implied. The exception to this is if the description states there is a manufacturer's warranty. In this event the item should be returned to the manufacturer in accordance with that warranty if necessary.




As noted in our shipping section, we do ship many items outside of the USA. However we do not ship all items outside of the USA, and are not able to ship to ALL countries. 1. Customs duty and tax: Many countries will charge the recipient import tax on items purchased on eBay. We do not have knowledge of which countries charge tax and how much it could be. Customers are advised to contact their local postal or tax offices prior to bidding. Rokand is not responsible and will not reimburse international buyers for taxes charged on delivery. Rokand cannot mark items as gifts, lower the value of the goods on the customs form, or engage in any other modification to assist in the lowering or elimination of valid taxes.
2. Insurance and proof of shipment: Items sent outside the USA are insured. US Postal Regulations state insurance covers only the cost of the product, and does not cover the shipping charge. When you inquire for shipping rate quotes, we will advise you of the average time frame for delivery. If your product has not arrived within 21 mailing days of shipping, please contact us so we can trace the package for you. All parcels are sent with tracking and tracking information is provided to the customer at the time of shipment. If your package is lost in transit, we will file an insurance claim on your behalf. The US Postal Service requires that all insurance claim filings include a signed letter from you, the recipient, stating you have not received the parcel shipped to your address. This is a requirement and the letter can be faxed to us, scanned and emailed, or sent through Postal mail. We cannot issue any refunds for lost packages or ship any replacements without this letter. If you select a replacement, we will pay to ship it to you. If you select a refund, you will be refunded only the price of the product, as noted above US Postal Regulations do not allow us to insure the cost of the postage.
3. Returns: Buyers outside the USA may return products in accordance with our above advertised return policy. It is important to note that shipping and return shipping are NEVER refundable, with the sole exception of a case where we ship the wrong product (example: you buy a wireless adapter and we send a keyboard by mistake).
