The digits are just a bit skinnier than the previous 6 digit versions to allow for the extra digit. See comparison pictures in the listing title. The first pic is of the older 6 digit displays. With the new 7 digit display, in 6 digit mode, the left most digit is not enabled at this time.

Compatibility Notes:
Important note about machines with Ni-Wumpf System 80 CPU boards: If you have a machine with a System 80 Ni-Wumpf replacement CPU board, you will need to do an upgrade to the FPGA code. Their code has been updated to correct a ghost display problem on the left most digit.
There are several ways to upgrade your board.
1. Do it yourself, you will need a computer and a serial cable.
2. Send it back to Ni-Wumpf for upgrade.

Note: Some System 80 Machines come with a blue tint filter on the backglass, we have BLUE or GREEN LED Kits are available. The GREEN LED Kits look Green even though the filter in the machine is Blue. Also some machine have a filter that attaches to the display, in some cases we suggest you reuse the old filter, the instructions will tell you how.

Design Information
These boards are designed to replace existing Gottlieb displays. These displays are offered as a set, while it is possible to mix the fluorescent and LED displays in the same machine, we don't know why you would want to after seeing our new ones! This kit does not require any soldering, cutting of wires, or modifying of any harnesses, so if for some reason you wish to re-install the old displays, you can do it without any problems. The installation of the new LED displays takes about 20 minutes.
Troubleshooting Existing Displays
Our new displays will not correct any pre-existing problems that you may be having with your machine, so we suggest that you make sure your machine is working properly before replacing the displays.
