La Nordica "Mamy Cream" Wood Burning Cook Stove

Mamy / Suprema / America are La Nordica's cast iron cook stoves. What a change from the traditional old cast iron design! Mamy is small but thanks to its centrally placed chimney it still has 2 ringed burners unlike some larger stoves! 3 separate trim pieces make the cast iron cooktop harder for kids to reach. Chimney outlet is positioned in the middle, either top or back - your choice. Other than cast iron Mamy's big feature is the door design: note how they don't seem to have locks! Nothing to twist or turn to lock the doors but they lock remarkably tight, this is the best door system we have seen on any cook stoves. The firebox door has air controls for regulating burn rate, the baking oven door has a temperature gauge and a panoramic glass door.

Venting and Safety

As any wood fired cooking appliance the stove is EPA-exempt, it does not require EPA emission certification. Installation is the same as for a heating wood (solid fuel) stove. The stove is currently not UL-listed. Since the oven is not UL approved manufacturer suggested installation is irrelevant, it needs to follow the local building code, which is usually based on NFPA211. The stove arrives on a freight truck, with liftgate if going to residence. Someone needs to be home to sign for it. Delivery is to driveway only or nearest accessible ground (curb, garage etc).

You are also welcome to pick up the stove from our warehouse in East Rutherford, NJ. In this case we offer a $200 discount. If you are picking up please email us prior to making the purchase. Paypal is not accepted for local pick up.
