This is a true classic! Just an absolutely beautiful example of the currently popular antique 1963 Oldsmobile Starfire 2 door Hardtop coupe with the 394/345HP V8 'Ultra High Compression Starfire Rocket' engine with 93K original miles and loaded with factory options including: Jetaway automatic transmission, power steering, deluxe steering wheel, power brakes, power drivers seat, electric clock, courtesy lamps, soft ray tinted glass, AM radio with power antenna, sports console with shifter and tachometer, bucket seats, remote release trunk, 2 speed windshield wiper/washer, heater and defroster and with rare factory added option of air conditioning, and outside front hood rear mirror.

The Starfire was Oldsmobile's entry into the personal luxury market built on the Super Eighty-Eight's 123-inch wheelbase frame. The list of standard equipment included a more powerful V8, Hydra-matic drive, sports console with shifter, tachometer, courtesy lamp package, two-speed wipers, power brakes, power steering, brushed aluminum trim, dual exhausts and leather trim. Oldsmobile introduced the new Starfire in mid-1961. It was a high performance, high style, luxury automobile that was true to the company's rich performance history and offered a host of distinctive features. The Starfire returned for 1962 to include a hardtop variant. Priced around $4,500 in 1963, the Starfire Hardtop Coupe was equipped with all the features found in the Super Eight-Eight plus brushed aluminum side panels, a sporty cockpit featuring bucket seats, leather upholstery, floor console and power-operated front seats. Power was from a 394 cubic-inch V-8 engine that offered 345 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque, courtesy of a Rochester four-barrel carburetor, 10.5:1 compression, a revised camshaft profile, an efficient combustion chamber design and a free-flowing dual exhaust system.

This model comes complete with Air Conditioning, power equipment including power drivers seat, factory tinted glass, console tachometer, rear deck release and re verb rear speaker.

Note: "We specialize in seeking out and finding rare classic cars in very good to excellent condition. This is a premium example of one of our finds! This was owned by a local professional couple who used this for several summers in the Traverse Michigan area and took extreme care and attention to keeping it in the beautiful condition shown here."

We personally put over 100 miles on it so we can present any issues to our potential customers with full transparency!

All power options including windows, antennae, and tachometer work except we identified the following issues:

All lights work except blinkers, we may or may not have these fixed before the auction closes if our mechanic can trace it down.

The power seat on drivers side has a running motor but does not move and is stuck in one position adequate for a 5' 8" to 6' 2" person to drive comfortably. We will not be looking into this issue.

The clock does not work. Am radio will eventually tune into your station with some static during warm up and tuning.

The air only cools the car down when on vent setting only but cools from under the dash, not out of the vents, heat and defrost works as it should.

The car starts great and shifts through the gears fine with no smoke, engine knocks, or slipping in the trans. No fluid drips that we have detected.

"We experienced hesitation which appears to be not enough fuel getting to the carberater from time to time.
It stumbles when the throttle is opened up.The accelerator may not be delivering enough enrichmentto compensate for the opening of the throttle plate. This may bea weak accelerator pump plunger.
We are looking into it and will keep the auction updated throughout the week on progress with our mechanic."

At this time, we urge you to "bid accordingly with this issue in mind in as is condition" in case we do not get to the bottom of the problem, though we believe we will have this resolved in a few days.

$500 deposit is required within 24 hours of auction close using PayPal and the balance is due within 1 week of auction close by cash/check/money order.

We do not accept large balances by PayPal!

You will be able to take possession of the car when all funds clear our bank.

We will work directly with your shipper and extend this auction worldwide to any and all eBay members in good standing!

You may leave the car here up to 4 weeks free of charge at our facility while you make arrangements for pickup, but the car must be paid in full within 1 week of auction close.
Car is sold as is, as described to the best of our ability with lots of pics and is sold as is with no warranties implied whatsoever.

" Please do not bid unless you are sure you want it at a price you are comfortable with so that the sale will transition smoothly for all parties involved."

Anyone may inspect the car this week and we invite questions during the entire run of the auction.

If not satisfied with our present description or have reservations it is best to ask specific questions, or see the car personally in advance for yourself.

"Good luck in advance to the winner of this beauty, yes it is as nice as it looks in the pictures, even nicer!"

Update 06/27/14: Our mechanic has given the car a clean bill of health, in his words, he said it is in "exceptional condition" except for the Rochester carburetor issue described above. He is installing a rebuild kit to keep the carb original, we are hoping this will resolve the problem.
