Oh, this is such a gorgeous, old set!  This came right from my mom’s home and was sitting on a dresser on display.  Gorgeous Shell and Grapes Dresser set. Vintage Japan with Blue paper labels on each piece.  There is an underglaze faint number on the trinket box “B” which leads me to believe that this is a set from the 1940’s.  It could be older.  But there is no question that this set is VERY OLD!

Covered footed trinket box with matching trays.  Beautiful cocoa brown color tones with Rosey/Pink grapes and Gold detailing. 

Unbelievable!!! VERY GOOD Condition!!! No chips, no cracks, no breaks, no repairs with exception to one chip on one of the smaller shells.  This is on the underside of the outside edge and is only noticeable if you look on bottom.  Does not take away from the shape of the shell or its beautiful appearance.

There is, the expected, overall darkening and crazing on the trinket box, visible on the inside and the bottom of the box base.  This does not take a thing away from its beautiful appearance and only adds to its great antique charm.

There is some wearing to the gold detailing and the colors.  It was hard to get great pictures to show the true rich cocoa brown tones and the great detailing.  I could not find any similar set anywhere.  So I am not sure where to mention that the gold detailing is worn and how it was intentionally designed.  I took lots of pictures and they show the true condition and almost the true beauty of this delicate, porcelain dresser set.
