This truck was my daily driver up until last month when i moved to San Diego,CA from Boise,ID where it pulled a trailer 1100 miles. with the bulletproof combination of a big block 460 that has an upgraded intake system courtesy of an edlebrock performer intake topped with a 4 barrel edlebrock AFB carb. these performance modifications are augmented with an aftermarket cam installed in 1986 by the previous owner which has provided better mileage and a slight bump in power over other stock 460's we've owned. headers and a new exhaust system installed two years ago allow exhaust to flow freely.we installed a Trans Go shift kt in the transmission along with a extra large capacity aluminum transmission pan hooked up to a transmission fluid cooler allowing for cooler trans temp while towing. aiding in towing are the 4.11 gears in the original Dana 60 axle. you'll also get new tires on aftermarket aluminum rims installed in January, along with a brand new battery installed at the end of July (don't leave the lights on for three days) that has a one year warranty attached as well.
The interior is not perfect but it does look presentable. the dash is cracked as happens often on these trucks however it does have a cover, all other plastic pieces have been refurbished as has the gauge cluster ensuring that all lights and gauges on the optional full gauge cluster function properly. stereo has been up graded to a Kenwood cd/mp3/ipod compatible unit through aftermarket speakers throughout the cab. the original vinyl seats are still in the truck and in decent shape with no tears on the rear bench seat nor the the backrest of the front bench, however the drivers side where you sit has split, it now has a silver seat cover on the bottom to prevent further tearing. the original viynal floor cover was ripped out floor pans were rustproofed with POR15 and recoverd with brand new cut pile carpet from lmc ttrucks. original owners manual and all remaining original paperwork that was passed to me from previous owners.
The exterior of this truck is the area that needs the most work. though that is not to say its beyond easy repair all that is needed is the set of 25$ rear wheel well patch panels and a coat of paint and this truck will be equally ready to hit the show circuit or the camp trails with more than enough room for the family in the cab and with the long bed option plenty of room for atv and gear. the current coat of paint is a repaint in the original color that was finished sometime in the late 80's but was not cared for and shows it. rust around the the rear wheel wells and a dent in the front left fender is all that stands in the way of an amazing daily driver or weekend warrior.
out of all the vehicles I've owned this one has brought me the most satisfaction in owning, if circumstances didn't decree that i trade it in for a company vehicle i would keep it in a heart beat. I hope that this truck would go to someone who will continue to use and enjoy it as much as i have, if there are any questions about the truck I will gladly answer them.
Happy bidding and good luck!
