Charming little antique, garden Gnome

Made of terracotta clay slip and hand painted

Approx. 10 inches tall

Hollow inside

This little fellow is sitting on a tree stump with a wooden fishing rod in one hand and his fishing bag in the other.

The detailing on the facial features, hands and feet are lovely.  Long grey hair and beard.

Pale blue short trousers with a yellow waistcoat/ jacket with green sleeves.  Red, floppy, pointed hat.

Lots of photos so you can clearly see condition.

I would say he is Victorian/Edwardian, may be German, may be British, I am not an expert, so please
look into this if it is important to you.

No makers name or mark that I can find.

He could possibly benefit from some gentle restoration, although I think he is perfect just as he is!

Due to age and the fragile nature of his finish, I would not recommend he be stood in the garden, at his age, bless him, he
is more of a collectors piece than garden ornament
