The razor of Iwasaki was made by Sanjou Works in Nigata Prefecture, was the world-famous blacksmith. The brand name is attached to “Iwasaki” from last name of Mr. Iwasaki who is blacksmith. The material of Tamahagane is a type of Japanese steel, which is called . "jewel steel", and is very rare in Japan now among the cutlery Iwasaki. There is the cultural value that you may display in a museum after knowing the history of the Japanese knife.

service is free of charge. Your blade can be shipped after being sharpened
by a Japanese traditional blacksmith craftsman. |

We offer our clients the service with handle wrapped with Rattan, in order
to allows rare and valuable Japanese razors to be used better and long.
Additionally, we offer traditional Japanese "Urushi" lacquer
coating of Rattan Handles which keeps them from rusting. The "Urushi"
is a ancient coating material and used for luxury serving dishes and swords.
And "Urushi" has a different nature from industrial coating materials
so needs longer time for drying. We give the razor's handle coats of "Urushi"
many times, which takes about 10 days for finishing. On the surface, we
use the method named 'TOGIDASHI' (polished finish), through which mesh
design of rattan under it can be seen. The wrapping service is free of
