A beautiful set of 8 green Victorian fireplace tiles by Flaxman. Art Nouveau stylised flower design.
An ornate and exquisitely beautiful relief design, and a really striking green colour - incredible depth.
In nice condition - these have been used, and some sooty marks can be seen on the reverse. One tile has some soot in the crazing. Crazing is present in nearly all tiles of this age. Some nibbles to the front, and small chips here and there, mostly on the reverse. One has a large chip to the reverse, but it's been glazed over, so this was probably done at the factory. If these are to be used in a fireplace most nibbles and chips will be hidden. Probably was a set of 10 or more, but could be used with spacers or in a washstand.
Please check photos carefully for full details of condition. The crazing is not 100% clean, particularly around the edges, but not as sooty as others I've seen.

Condition
All the items I sell are in vintage condition and will generally show some signs of use. Minor wear and tear is to be expected and where there is damage over and above this level of use, I will clearly document it.

Items are sent Royal Mail Second Class in most circumstances. Larger items are sent via MyHermes which can take 3-5 working days. I pack and pad very well.
Postcards and ephemera are sent in a card-backed envelope or with a stiff board insert.
