You can use a simple two or three prong standard ac cord
to hook up the unit direct to your battery, solar panel, or other low
wattage power source or generator. Hook several units together in
parallel to increase the wattage.
The heater is safer for
people and pets because of the low voltage. Low voltage has little effect on
the body unlike higher voltage ac units that short out and
electrocution can occur.
Choose your Thermostat! Choose between 120, 140, 160, 170,180,190,or 200 degrees Fahrenheit OR our ANTI FREEZE thermostat which will keep your water between 35 and 55 deg F. DC thermostats are for 48 volt DC water heater systems .This thermostat is on until the temperature reaches its rated Temperature. ! No relay needed! Opens circuit on overheat, effectively cutting power to the heater (normally closed contacts). DC thermostats are for 48 volt DC water heater systems.
Thermostat Features:
- Simple in-line wiring system
- Connections are 1/4" spade terminals
- The heat sensor (reverse side) must be firmly mounted on the side of tank with screws or silicone caulking
- Uses a simple and typical "loop" circuit to interrupt power to wiring harness on overheat (Use 10 gauge wire for loop circuit).
