Some background on this model from Herman Miller:

Charles and Ray Eames developed the Eames Soft Pad chair in 1969 as a luxury version of their Eames Aluminum Group chairs. Introduced in 1958, the Aluminum Group was a special project by Charles and Ray Eames for a private residence being designed by Eero Saarinen and Alexander Girard for Cummins Engines founder J. Irwin Miller in Columbus, Indiana.

At the time, the furniture was called the "leisure group," or "indoor-outdoor group" since it was meant to address the lack of quality outdoor furniture on the market. Herman Miller began making the Aluminum Group chairs in 1958, and they have been in continuous demand ever since.

As Herman Miller say, this comfortable and luxurious chair sits equally well in retro interiors, elegant lobbies, or hip young offices....a statement of enduring design excellence.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Condition of Products Sold

The majority of items that I list are usually purchased from other venues such as garage sales of estate sales, auctions etc.… and as such will not be in MINT condition unless otherwise stated. I always try to purchase quality working items. I am not an expert in all things. I will always be honest about the condition of all items I sell and describe them to the best of my ability. A major part of my description is in the many pictures that I take of each item. Descriptions are subjective. Expect each item to have some wear or use consistent with being previously owned. So if a particular aspect or condition is important to you, please ask me for more photos prior to placing your bid. My customers are my main priority. If for any reason you feel I did not meet or exceeded your expectations, please allow me the opportunity to resolve the issue.

Payment

I require that all payments are made within 3 days of the auctions end date. If payment is not received, I do reserve the right to relist the item, file a non-paying dispute & request for a non-paying bidders strike against your eBay account. I understand that things come up and will always try to work with you. Please make prior arrangements with me if you cannot meet any of the payment requirements above.

Shipping

I will always ship out your items within one to two business days of receiving your cleared payment, with the exception of weekends and holidays. I package securely and use recycled boxes and fillers whenever possible. If you purchase more than one item from me, I am happy to combine shipping costs if I can safely send the items together in one box. Insurance is not required however it is highly recommended, as I cannot be responsible for items once they are shipped. On some items I require insurance, in which case I will include it in the shipping cost and advise you in the description.   I will usually ship internationally if feasible. International bidders please contact me for a shipping quote prior to bidding.

Returns

I will except returns, if the received item is not the correct item, or if the description is not correct or misleading, or if the item was sold as a working item and does not work when received. Please contact me as soon as possible if you have any problem. PLEASE don’t just leave Negative comments, feedback or assume the worst without contacting me first to try and reach a resolution. I am very easy to work with and refunds are not a problem.

I do not except returns for items sold “as is” or  “non-working” or for buyer’s remorse.

Refunds are for the original winning bid minus shipping charge. Refunds are processed once I receive the returned item in question in its original condition. Buyers are responsible for the return postage. Please ask questions prior to bidding. I will be happy to answer all questions and send additional photos if needed.

I will always give positive feedback, and would appreciate the same in return. I always strive to earn that 5 star rating.  In the unlikely event of any problem occurring, PLEASE contact me FIRST to resolve any issue, I want to make sure I have and maintain HAPPY CUSTOMERS.

Non-paying bidders and bidders that abuse of the feedback system will be challenged, and reported to Ebay.
