Easily convert existing 12n and 12s sockets from your car / towing vehicle to suit the 13 pin Euro type caravan plug.
No need to have your vehicle re-wired, just connect both grey and black cables into this 13 pin socket.
This towbar electrical socket is used when converting traditional Twin or Double12N/12S 7 pin towbar electric sockets
to a single 13 pin Euro socket. Or as a new towbar installation fitment.
Ensure all fuses are removed from the existing towbar electrical
installation. Remove the existing 12N and 12S sockets, inspect the condition of
both 7 core cables and if required strip the insulation back to ensure good
contacts. Remove approximately 90mm of the outer protective grey/black
insulation. Locate the blue wire from the 12S (grey) cable, cut back and insulate.
Using insulation tape wrap all 13 wires from the 12N and 12S
cables together. If necessary insert the cable through the socket plate and then
through the seal. You may have to enlarge hole a little. Strip back approximately 5mm of insulation from each
of the remaining cables. Insert each wire into the appropriate pin location
starting at position 1. Refit the socket and fuses. Always test before using for peace of mind.

1 Left side indicator yellow
2 Rear fog lights blue
3 Negative for pins 1,2,4 & 8 white
4 Right side indicator green
5 Right hand rear position & end outline, & registration plate brown
6 Brake Lights red
7 Left hand rear position & end outline, & registration plate black
8 Reverse light pink/yellow
9 Constant 12v power supply green/orange
10 Power from ignition switch red/grey
11 Negative for pin 10 white/whit & black
12 Coding for coupled trailer (on the plug pin 12 to be connected to pin 3)
13 Negative for pin 9 black/white& red
