Thread Sealing - Loctite thread sealants seal and secure plugs, pipes, and fittings. They can fill spaces between threaded metal parts, later hardening to prevent and stop leakages.  Loctite has a wide range of pipe thread sealants which are formulated specifically for certain materials with differing properties.

LOCTITE 542 is designed for the locking and sealing of metal pipes and fittings as well as other cylindrical metal assemblies. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage due to shock and vibration. The thixotropic nature of LOCTITE 542 reduces the migration of liquid product after application to the part.

LOCTITE 545 Hydraulic, Pneumatic Sealant Thread Sealant is a pipe sealant designed for the locking and sealing of metal pipes and fittings. This product is specially formulated to offer high lubricity for easy assembly and removal. Recommended for fine threaded fittings as used in hydraulic and pneumatic installations and small fittings in general. It contains no fillers or particles that could contaminate system fluids, foul valves, or clog fine filters and screens. Suitable for fittings up to 2 in. (50 mm) in diameter including pneumatic and hydraulic fittings. Excellent solvent resistance. ABSSM Approved. CFIA Approved.

LOCTITE 554 Refrigerant Sealant Thread Sealant has excellent solvent resistance on threaded fittings and pipes up to 3" in diameter. This refrigerant thread sealant has good chemical resistance and is recommended for refrigeration systems and service with aggressive chemicals.

Off-white, low disassembly strength methacrylate thread sealant, ideal for sealing coarse threads up to M80/R3”. UL approved.

LOCTITE 567 is an off-white, low strength, thixotropic methacrylate thread sealant. It cures in the absence of air and by contact with metals when confined within threads up to M80/R3”. It is best suited for use on coarse metal threads and its breakaway torque rating is 1.7Nm. Viscosity is 280,000 - 800,000 mPa·s and service temperature -55 to +150ºC. UL approved.

LOCTITE 569 Hydraulic Sealant Thread Sealant is a high strength, low viscosity thread sealant designed for the locking and sealing of plastic and metal pipes and fittings, including pneumatic and hydraulic fittings. It prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration.

Thread Sealant - medium strength. General purpose. For overhead applications and fast application at low temperatures. Slow curing.

LOCTITE 577 is designed for the locking and sealing of metal pipes and fittings as well as other cylindrical metal assemblies. The product provides an instant, low-pressure seal for metal pipes and fittings. It will not creep, shrink or block systems by shredding. Suitable for fast application at low temperatures. It has excellent chemical and thermal resistance and offers less migration of liquid product after application to the part.
