This CD-ROM contains a PDF of the User Manuals for both the DW-8000 and EX-8000. You will also find a review of the DW-8000 and a Patch list. I have included the original 6 banks of patches from Korg, including not only side A and side B of the original data cassette, but also the 4 banks that were included on the MEX-8000 memory expander. Several additional banks are also included in SysEx format (.SYX). If you've got a soundcard on your PC or Mac, you can also use the WAV versions of patches by connecting a cable between your headphone out and the DW-8000's or EX-8000's tape input jack. Finally there are some programs which will help you to load and manage your patches.
Please note: the DW-6000, while similar to these two later models in many respects, uses a different format for patch data because it has fewer sampled waveforms onboard (8 instead of 16). This means that you can't load DW-8000 data into a DW-6000.
I have created PDF documentation on how to use the tools on this CD-ROM to reload your sounds. Additionally, I provide technical support via email, IM, and Skype. Please do not send technical questions about how to use these products through the eBay messaging system, because Ebay limits our messages.

Q) Do I get a free synthesizer along with this CD-ROM?
A) NO! This CD-ROM includes program data for this model synthesizer. But since most people buy a new synth to get new sounds, you can pump more life into your vintage gear by purchasing the collection of sound data that is available on this CD-ROM. Installing these sounds will make your synthesizer sound brand-new - you will be impressed.
Q) How do I get these sounds into my (other make) synthesizer?
A) It cannot be done! These sounds are not samples or WAV files, but instead the settings files provide programming information that must be loaded into specific synthesizer models. This program data will only work for the models specified above.
Q) How did you get to be so good with synthesizers?
A) I've been using synthesizers and MIDI since the late 1980's. I've worked in a number of studios and have consulted to a couple of big names in the industry. Plus, I've got a vast array of software tools that helped in the development of this cd. Save yourself the time and money, and just buy my disc already. It's less than $10!

A) Nope, sorry.
Q) How do I get this to work on my computer?
A) You will need a MIDI interface, and the software required for Windows XP, Windows 7, MacOS 9 and Mac OSX is included on this cd. I've created PDF instructions for some of the programs, and support is available through email or Skype.
Q) Your disc Rocks! I spent hundreds of dollars on commercial patches that aren't as good.
