Up for grabs we have the new 2016/17 G&M Mana 909 bat. These bats are grade 1 English willow and are the hand made in England bats not the licensed in India bats. You can see with the side by side with the new GM paragon that the mana has a shorter blade. It has a longer handle to make up the difference so it's still the same size as a normal short handle bat. The idea behind that is to take the "useless" wood from the shoulders and put it into the middle. GM bats aren't known for there massive edges and this is no exception but as you can see with the mana they've made a much taller spine. Pick up wise the batmaker has scored it a 1 (1 being lightest 5 being heaviest) and it certainly picks up very well. Bat weighs 2.8.2 so it's nice and light to begin with. Very clean very straight grains as you'd expect from a GM grade 1 bat. Has the Usual GM now preprepared finish with an extra tech sheet, water repellent on the toe and toe guard fitted

Redesigned stickers with more colour than we're used to seeing from GM. They've also added little holograms all over the stickers so people can know they're buying a genuine GM bat. Unfortunately the counterfeit bats and stickers are getting more common these days. 

Prices are up unfortunately due to the willow becoming much rarer these days so RRP is around $700 (you'll see the Greg Chappell cricket centre selling 808s for $625 on the new 2016 models and they're G2)
