Origin: Nepal
These glass trade beads were hand made by artisans from various countries around the world. Many were sold, traded and worn multiple times before arriving in Nepal.
Condition: Used with original patina. I have not wiped them clean. However, some may have been cleaned by a previous owner.
These beads have had numerous owners / wearers and have traveled multiple continents. Some will show signs of wear, cracks and chips.
Raffia: The beads are woven into a temporary raffia strand. It provides a practical way to organize, display and sell the beads in market shops. The raffia can be cut and the beads restrung as jewelry.
