Here I offer a DVD containing 60 high resolution scans ( 1200 dpi ) , produced from a rare original WW1 photo album . In addition I have also made further scans showing album pages which have captions ( as per the listing images ).
The album belonged to a German soldier who served with a photographic section of Bayerische Feldflieger 9b . The original owner is pictured in a good number of the photos ...seen at work in map / photo section room and pictured wearing Edelweiss device in his cap , as authorised for this Alpine unit .
There are several very nice photos of a selection of WW1 German planes ..Ago's , Pfalz AI's & Pfalz EIII's taken at Colmar Airfield and at Tyrol in the Alps . A couple of photos show plane crashes , including dead crew .
Dates circa 1915 .
Please note images on disc are much better quality than the low resolution listing images . First listed 10 July 2016 .
feel free to view another new album listed which , belonged to a German WW1 pilot .
