Our flakes are a true automotive polyester flake, designed for exterior application, cut from metallized polyester film brilliant, transparent, light fast, water and solvent resistant.

The versatile and brilliant dimensional pigment just lights up in sunlight, they can be used in normal automotive applications as well as in casting resins, gelcoats and even in powder coating applications.

Application:

1). You can add these flakes to Clear Coat - remember you must put additional clear coat only over the top to "bury" and protect the flake.

Metal Flake Size & Equipment Guide...

Ultra Small 0.002 (50 micron) Ultra Micro Flake lays down exceptionally easy apply with any spray gun or airbrush .35mm upwards or apply them dry using our very own flake gun - the Flake o Matic 1000.

Small 0.004 (100 micron) Micro Flake is relatively easy to apply with a minimum spraygun nozzle size of 1.3mm and an airbrush .5mm upwards or apply them dry using our very own flake gun - the Flake o Matic 1000.

Medium 0.008 (200 micron) Medium Flake is relatively easy to apply with a minimum spraygun nozzle size of 1.5mm or apply them dry using our very own flake gun - the Flake o Matic 1000. This size is not suitable for airbrushes.

Large 0.015 (375 micron) Large Flake can be applied with a conventional spraygun with a minimum nozzle size of 1.8 mm  or apply them dry using our very own flake gun - the Flake o Matic 1000. This size is not suitable for airbrushes.

Extra Large .025" (635 micron) Large Flake can be applied with a conventional spraygun with a minimum nozzle size of 2.5 mm  or apply them dry using our very own flake gun - the Flake o Matic 1000. This size is not suitable for airbrushes.

NOTE: The smaller the flake the more dense the flakes are, so it looks like you've got less than other size flakes.
