EDWARD B. AVELING, D.Sc.,
LONDON:
FREETHOUGHT PUBLISHING COMPANY
1881
*******
DESCRIPTION: Small 8vo (18.5cm) xii, single erratum stub, 339pp, adverts (24pp) 1st (and only?) Edition.
CONDITION: FINE. Some very minor wear and soiling to covers - binding sound. No previous names. A few (literally) foxing, but mainly confined to the early and later pages, and the edges of the text-block, generally very clean throughout. The adverts, printed on rougher paper are, interestingly, dated February 1886. An excellent copy of a scholarly introduction to Darwin's life and works. One of the best copies I've handled of a book that is often found very worn.
