New BMW E36 M3 and E46 M3 oil cooler thermostat bypass valve.

BMW S50, S52 and S54 engines have oil cooler thermostat that closes oil flow to the cooler until the engine is warm.  After the engine has warmed thermostat opens but even then only a portion of oil flow is directed through oil cooler which makes these cars run pretty high oil temperatures on track.

This oil diverter valve makes all the oil flow go through the cooler making oil temps on track lower by 15-25 deg C with stock oil cooler.
