Organic Rose Clay
25g

The therapeutic use of clay dates back to prehistoric times and indigenous cultures all around the world practised the medicinal use of clay.

Today we are fortunate and whilst visiting the source of the clay/mud is an incredible experience we can get clay/mud from every corner to the world to come to us!

“Mud Therapy” such as the clay baths and face masks in health spas most commonly use therapeutic clays such as kaolin, bentonite, monmorillonite or illite.

The composition of each mineral clay varies depending on the location of the clay deposit, and no two are exactly the same.

Therapeutic clays contain massive amounts of trace minerals, necessary for good health. Montmorillonite for example usually contains as many as 75 different trace minerals. This, together with its natural antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and calming properties, may explain many of the healing effect of clay.

Clay baths and masks are a great way to:

  • Deeply cleanse and detoxify by drawing impurities out from beneath the skin surface
  • Deeply nourish and contribute trace elements for healthy skin
  • Tone, as the clay acts as great carrier for astringent ingredients

Organic Rose or “China Rose” is a very gentle therapeutic clay and is rich in silica, iron and magnesium. Especially suited for dry, mature and sensitive skin, it is effective in absorbing impurities and replenishing valuable minerals back into the skin, offers a deeper cleanse than organic primrose but still as gentle.
