Artist Info:Jane grew up with an adoptive family in Mt Isa, Queensland. After an arranged meeting in 1986 with her real mother, Pam, also an Australian indigenous artist in the NT, Jane started combining traditional methods of Indigenous paintings with her own abstract modern art.Jane had already achieved a bachelor of arts at the University of Queensland and began to create and sell artwork in galleries around Darwin and Alice Springs in the late 80’s and early 90’s.Jane`s art was first showcased in the Aboriginal Art Gallery during the Brisbane Expo in 1988 and has since sold to galleries worldwide. An illness prevented Jane from pursing her artwork for many years and only in the last couple of years she has started painting again.
