SUMMARY

AWAY FROM OCT. 29 TO NOV. 4

This is a limited edition handcrafted watch, number 15 of 500.  I bought this GEVRIL four years ago to wear, so it is a used watch. However, you probably wouldn't know that simply by looking at it. Beautiful watch in wonderful mechanical and cosmetic condition. It has been a while since I've worn it, so I guess it's time to sell this one.

I try my best to describe my items as accurately as possible.  However, descriptive terms are often open to individual interpretation.  Your best guide to the watch?s condition will be the many detailed high resolution photographs provided to help you make your evaluation.

DETAILS

DIAL:

Black with orange and white numbers and markers. A three day date window lies between the 4:00 and 5:00.

CRYSTAL:

Sapphire, second in hardness only to diamond.

BEZEL, CASE, AND BACK:

All matte stainless steel with an exhibition screw-down back.

BAND:

Matte finish stainless steel with a signed butterfly clasp.

CROWN:

Signed ribbed stainless steel that locks in place by pushing in and rotating clockwise.

SIZE:

42mm across the top excluding the large crown with a lug width of 20mm.  The bracelet comfortably fits a 7.5" wrist at the moment, but there is about a half inch of expansion in the clasp.  Links can be removed to make it smaller.

MOVEMENT:

Swiss made ETA 2836-2 automatic in excellent working order.

CONDITION:

Pre-owned in almost flawless condition. There are some very, very light scuffs on the clasp and some light dings on the lugs next to where the spring bars are inserted. I had to look carefully with a loupe to find them.

ERRATA:

The watch comes with booklets and a warranty card that was never filled out and an outer box. I have no idea what happened to the inner box.

I'm not in any rush to sell this watch, so any strategy about making offers at the last minute will not be fruitful. I have a set price that will be accepted when offered.

A word about Quartz watches and batteries: I check all my watches for a working battery before I list and before I ship and I will replace it if it is not working.  Even though I store my watches with the crown pulled out, there may be occasions a buyer might receive a watch only to have the battery run down soon after. Even a new watch that has been sitting on the shelf for a while will discharge the battery over time. I have no way of knowing the age of a battery in any watch unless I have personally replaced it. Battery replacement is the sole responsibility of the buyer.

A word about mechanical watches: All mechanical watches, whether manual wind or automatic wind, will need periodic servicing simply due to the friction of its moving parts. Generally, I do not know the service history of pre-owned watches I sell, unless I personally have had the watch serviced. I time all watches for at least 24 hours prior to listing and 12 hours prior to shipment. If it doesn't maintain acceptable accuracy I don't list it or I won't ship it and the buyer will receive a refund.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR BID SIGNALS YOUR INTENT TO BUY THE WATCH.  UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE PURCHASING BY CAREFULLY READING THE DESCRIPTIONS AND EXAMINING THE PHOTOGRAPHS.  THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED ONLY IN THE EVENT THE ITEM IS NOT MATERIALLY AS DESCRIBED OR IS NOT FUNCTIONING AS DESCRIBED.
