ABOUT THIS ITEM:


This JX8p was sold to us as working perfectly, but as usual with vintage synths, once we got it, we realized it wasn’t. So, we paid our tech for 3 ours of skilled labor to get it fully functional. As is typical with this model, the aftertouch on this unit wasnt working properly. In order to fix it, our tech needed to remove all the keys and clean the contacts and reassemble everything - a pretty time consuming process. While he was inside, he did a bit of cleaning and resoldered some power supply connections that usually need to be resoldered. We are perfectionists and notice every little detail. Even after cleaning, the volume pot glitches just a little at the very top - we would have simply replaced it but we dont have a source for replacements, so we wanted to be sure to make this known. It’s something the seller didn’t notice and something most sellers wouldn’t spot or bother to disclose. There are also 2 rubber grommets that sit inside the back panel of this unit to hold the music stand. One of them was missing, but the guy we bought it from put his own grommet substitute on the music stand so it would stay in nicely. This unit is priced higher than usual because of the time and money we invested in it to get its aftertouch working properly, the fact that it's fully tested and working perfectly, unlike most others you'll find on the market, and because it also includes accessories - a gig bag, music stand, foot switch and original manual, each of which sell on their own for a decent amount. -Many of the items we sell are big and fragile & have special packing requirements.  We pack and ship only 1 day a week and delays can sometimes occur, so expect us to ship your item within 1-2 weeks.  If you're in a hurry, please don't buy from us as we don't want to disappoint you.
