We are devoted to bringing you the most sought-after women's designer apparel and accessories. We carry only authenticated luxury fashions and accessories which go through a rigorous inspection process where items are hardly worn, almost new or new, with or without tags. We do not carry vintage fashions but designer fashions and accessories which are just few years old.

Sometimes the fit isn't right and you wish to return your purchase. 

So yes, we accept returns. Upon receipt of the item you have purchased, you have 14 days to send it back to OWN THE COUTURE.

TO RETURN AN ITEM, YOU MUST FIRST CONTACT US TO LET US KNOW YOU WISH TO RETURN THE ITEM.

• Upon receipt of your email indicating you wish to return your purchase we will contact you with shipping instructions.
  • You are responsible for the shipping cost of returning the cancelled order to OWN THE COUTURE.
  • You must insure the item when shipping and you must ensure the courrier or Post Office requires a signature upon receipt.
  • All item(s) returned must be in the same condition as when it was received, with the OWN THE COUTURE return tag or sticker fully intact and still attached. And all original packaging and extras, such as dust bags, locks, etc… must be included.
  • Please take care of packing/protecting the item you are returning. If the item(s) are not in the same condition as when purchased, the refund value will be affected or we reserve the right to not accept the return.
  • Item(s) must be postmarked/shipped within 14 days of receipt.
• Once we receive your item(s) we will notify you via email. Provided you have fulfilled the instructions above and the item(s) are in the condition we shipped it to you in, we will then process a refund within 10 working days.
• All eligible returns will be refunded to the buyer using the same form of payment, which was originally used to make the purchase.
• If you change credit card info between the purchase and the return, it is your responsibility to contact your previous institution and advise that a refund will be sent to previous account.
• Refund funds cannot be used toward another purchase. The refunded transaction needs to be completed per item.

Own The Couture ships everywhere in Canada via Canada Post Expedited Parcel.

We also ship to customers residing in the United States. Deliveries are made by UPS for all deliveries destined to New York City, NY and all other deliveries in the U.S. are handled by Canada Post Expedited Parcel / United States Postal Service.

Own The Couture also ships to the following European countries and deliveries are handled by UPS:

SHIPPING

We will ship items within 2 business days after receiving cleared payment from Monday to Friday excluding weekends and holidays.

All packages shipped by Own The Couture are insured to cover the cost of the package and require a signature.

Own The Couture cannot ship to a post office box since a signature is required for every delivery.

CANADA:

A flat rate of $15 is charged for shipping to a Canadian address.

Own The Couture ships from our warehouse in Montreal. If you reside in a major center in either the Province of Ontario or Quebec, Canada Post's delivery standard for this region is one to two days. If you reside in major cities in other Provinces outside Ontario or Quebec shipping will take 2 to 4 days to arrive from time of departure. Shipping to rural areas will take between 3 to 5 days.

U.S.:

A flat rate of $75 is charged for shipments to the above selected European countries. Purchases destined outside of Canada are subject to import duties and tariffs during customs inspections. The buyer is responsible for all duties, taxes, tariffs and other expenditures that are incurred during the shipment.

Shipping to most European countries will take 4 to 6 days.

Own The Couture is not responsible for packages delayed by the postal service or customs inspections.

TAKE YOUR OWN MEASUREMENTS TO ENSURE THE RIGHT FIT!

We have carefully measured each garment to help you determine if the garment you are interested in, is actually the right size for you. You can see the exact measurements of every garment in every item description of our listings.

We recommend that you compare each product’s measurements with your own. We want you to be satisfied with your purchase after all, so when in doubt just pick up a measuring tape and take your measurements or the measurements of a great fitting similar garment found in your wardrobe.

We have listed below some tips on how to measure your body to determine if the garment will fit you. 

What is the return tag?

We attach a return tag on all apparel and handbags and apply a return sticker on all shoes that we sell. We will only accept returns if the return tags and stickers remain on the items you wish to return. These tags will not damage the apparel, handbags or shoes. The hang-tag and the sticker are not re-attachable.

Does OWN THE COUTURE accept returns?

Yes, you may return your purchases for a full refund within 14 days of receipt. (Items postmarked on the 14th day after the item was received are eligible for the return refund.) All items must be in the same condition as when received, and the OWN THE COUTURE return tags and stickers must be attached and intact in order to receive a full refund. The buyer who wishes to make a return will bear the cost of the return shipping.

To help avoid unnecessary returns, please read the description and view the photos carefully, in particular noting the size of the item(s) and any possible flaw(s). Consult our measuring guide to help you take the right measurements to ensure the fit will always be just right.

What will you accept if I return it?

All items you wish to return must be in the same condition as when you received them, and the OWN THE COUTURE return tags and stickers must be attached and intact in order to receive a full refund.

How should I send back my return?

You must first contact us to let us know you wish to return an item. 

After you have informed us that you wish to return an item you can return the item to our head office. To avoid damage to the items being shipped back to OWN THE COUTURE, it is preferable to place the items in a plastic bag before placing items in the shipping box. Since the responsibility of the return package is that of the buyer, until it is received at OWN THE COUTURE, we encourage that you properly insure the package with the carrier you have chosen. Please note that the cost of the return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer who wish to make a return.

Once we have received your email concerning the return you wish to do we will contact you with the shipping information and instructions.

When will I receive my refund?

Once we receive the item(s) you wish to return, we will notify you of receipt via email. Processing returns can take up to 5 business days and another 5 days to post to your credit card. *Please note: We are happy to refund the purchase price for the item, but can not refund return shipping charges.

What forms of payment does OWN THE COUTURE accept?

OWN THE COUTURE accepts PayPal, American Express, Visa and Mastercard.

Are the items listed clean?

We require that items which are submitted for consignment be dry-cleaned, without stains or odour.

Do you guarantee the quality, condition and authenticity of items?

Yes, we guarantee the quality, conditions and authenticity of the products we sell. OWN THE COUTURE only accepts items which are new, nearly new and with little wear. We have a rigorous curation process in place to ensure all items are high quality and authentic. If we suspect that an item we have received for consignment is not authentic, we will contact the seller to obtain further proof of authenticity, including receipt of purchase. If we are not sufficiently satisfied as to the evidence of authenticity supplied by the seller, we will return the item to the seller.
