Lovely antique silver plated claret jug with a cut crystal body and decorative handle and spout. The spout features the stylized face of a man, presumed to be Bacchus, the god of the harvest, winemaking and wine.

Measures about 9 inches tall and about 4 1/2 inches in diameter. Label describes history of Georgian Silver and reads, in handwritten note: "This claret jug is Victorian silverplate made in England about 1880."

Needs a good polish, but no apparent dents, chips or scratches. Purchased from Fortunoff in 2007 and never used (still has original tag attached).
