Many pros started on a King saxophone like you see here. Great sound, solid construction, great price. This saxophone comes from the collection of a local retired musician. It had been squirreled away for some time in its original case.

For the love of all things musical, PLEASE don't buy your son or daughter a Chinese saxophone. Chinese made stuff doesn't even come close - in different zip codes in terms of quality. Their instruments are merely an "illusion" of better quality items. That's a charitable description.

Physical condition is vg/excellent as found. I didn't polish anything, I just gave it a quick wipe down. No damage to report. A couple of pencil point dents on the neck that have been shown in the photos. Bottom is dent free (where you will always see damage on a student sax from the kids dropping them). KING adds a gusset on bottom that absorbs punishment.

Pads look good though I am not a saxophone expert. Could use new cork on the neck for the mouthpiece. Speaking of which, there is a mouthpiece and other accessories in the storage pocket in the case. It's all here. An excellent beginner package.

Once again, sound wise these saxophones are excellent. I don't think you could do better for the money when shopping for a first saxophone.

Asking price is below its trending value....so go for it. Stated shipping cost is to cover coast to coast expense. If you live this side of the Mississippi (East Coast) it will be less. I always refund my customers if there is money left after shipping and packing.

All buttons and valves move freely. Actuator rods are straight with no bent ones.

Could use detailing (cleaning) in the nooks and crannies. Again, sweat equity keeps the prices low.

Unlike Chinese made saxophones that can be bent when hit with a twinkie, these American made KING's were built for all the abuse a beginner can dish out. Bottom is clean.

Some very small dents on the neck. Will not affect the instrument. I just want to show everything unlike most sellers with 1 or2 photos.

Great horn so go for it. This will be a shot to buy one of these for far less than the usual asking price on eBay.
