Description: This is a late 20th Century reproduction of a 19th Century Victorian period Staffordshire China King Charles Spaniel Wally Dog. The dog has a cream ground with black decorative over-glazing to his coat. He has a pink muzzle with a black nose and hand-painted whiskers, with yellow eyes and a classic gilded collar and lock.A classic piece of Staffordshire ware from the 20th Century, in keeping with the Victorian Restoration Revival period when these dogs were so popular as parlor decorations. These dogs are often referred to as Wally Dogs in Scotland.

Condition: The figure is in good original condition having crazing to the glazing synonymous with Staffordshire figures.
