Santa Cruz Skateboards from Santa Cruz, CA was created in the 1973 by parent company NHS Inc.The company exploded into the industry in the early 1980's. They created a multitude of successful brands such as Slimeballs, Independent, and the Screaming Hand. The latter being one of the most famous logos in skateboarding, all manner of skate dawgs rode for Santa Cruz including Jasson Jesse, Tom Knox and the great Eric Dressen. Today Santa Cruz prides itself on its OG image and still today has a team of heavy hitters including Josh Stafford, Shuriken Shannon and Emanuel Guzman as well as the original boys Eric Dreseen & Jasson Jesse.
