Recent upgrades in cylinder designs from all major hardware manufacturers are making use of  spool pins, creating a higher level of security for both commercial and residential customers. Locksmiths will be selling these locks more frequently! I will supply you with 4 spool pins you can take out top pins and add the spool pins, this will increase security level. Only 4 spool pins are used the last 2 top pins are full size in order to keep the plug and shell inline. This is also a great marketing tool to help sell your stock.

We supply you with two keys in the picture with the yellow one is the correct key. The cylinder with the black key is an incorrect key. These are factory made cylinders and keys. They are made with higher tolerances then after market reproductions it makes them better to educate your customers .  The cylinders have nickel silver bottom pins and brass top pins. You can pry the cap off the top of the cylinder with a flat blade screw driver to replace the top pins with  spools pins. Remove key before you try this or the springs will fly all over the place!
