Our Social Stories books all follow the same theme and have the same image of the person which you can personalise with a photo of your childs face just glue or velcro in place

WHY USE VISUALS ? because alot of children with learning difficulties are visual learners this can be especially true of autistic children. These children have difficulties with their auditory processing system and find that visuals help th...em with this processing. Visual can help a child with their speech and can be used as an exchange system (PEC's). Visual can also lower anxiety levels and frustration. Visuals can also help with behavioural issues ie social stories, flash cards and transition from one activity to another or going somewhere new. Please check out our other visual resources.

About Us ASD Bright Ideas - we understand autism ASD Bright Ideas was set up to help other parents/carers of special needs children. When our own daughter was diagnosed we were amazed at the lack of resources out there to help our children, so with an educational background in autism and special needs we decided to start making our own to help others. When our daughter was little she used to have meltdown and people would say “that kid needs a smack or control your kid” this used to bother her but now due to our awareness products she is a lot more confident whilst out and about, our visual have helped her learn important social skills and help her with changes that happen in her life. Our visual resources have been tried and tested not only by ourselves but also parents/carers/teachers of special needs children such as autism/aspergers/downssyndrome/languagedisorders/speech delays/ADHD/oppositional defiant disorder/English as a second language the list goes on. They have also helped our eldest daughter who is not on the spectrum with her social skills and learning.
