Volume I introduces the topic of Bird Migration with general chapters on "The British Isles and their Migratory Birds", "The Geographical Aspects of British Bird Migration", "Round the Year among the British Migratory Birds (Spring, Autumn, Winter)", "Weather Influences" etc

In addition there are several chapters discussing  specific species including the Swallow, Fieldfare, White Wagtail, Song-Thrush, Wagtail, Lapwing, Starling and the Rook.

Volume II covers studies from particular areas of Great Britain including Kentish Knock Lightship, Fair Isles St Kilda, The Flannan Isles, Sule Skerry and the Isle of Ushant.

Complete set of two volumes.

Illustrated with several black and white photographs and charts.

Hardback books. 16 cm by 23 cm. Each volume over 300 pages.
