We repair dead iPod touch 5 devices with a 100% success rate because if your device can't be fixed, we replace the board inside. It does not matter if it sat at the bottom of a lake, was folded in half, and so on.
Here's what you need to know:
-Your device will most likely have to be restored. This will erase the content. We will try to avoid it but just expect it.
- Screens can be a pain, if they are cracked then odds are it will get worse when removed. Water may leave a screen dead but typically not. We can salvage most water damaged screens (95%). Screens are not covered in this service but if we can save it, we will for you for free! This repair is board, battery, and charge port only. We use used parts for boards that need a complete replacement. We will notify you of the condition of the screen if necessary.
- Next you need to have the original serial for the device, most likely on the back or off the box it came in. This is usually readable from the back housing in small print but if it isn't then you will need to provide a good serial for the device.
- Finally you will need to remove the iCloud account from iCloud.com. This will let us restore and test the device. Just sign in with your iCloud email, go to find my iPod and remove it from the list. We can still repair the device but will be unable to test functions if iCloud isn't removed.
- Repair time typically is usually within one week but may last a day or two longer.
****Special notes: 64gb devices may be replaced with a 32gb board rarely (about 5% of the time and only if a complete board swap is needed). In this event we will give you another board but replacing a 64gb is costly and out of the price range of this repair so we exchange with a 32gb instead. This is typically not an issue and you will get back your 64gb just fine(95% of the time). Either way you receive a good working board back guaranteed!*****
