For sale is a saucer made by Moabit in the mid 19th
century. Moabit was in Berlin and was founded by M. Schumann and son
around 1835 and was around until about 1913. The saucer has a nice shape
to it and is nicely hand painted with a fancy gold design. The piece
is in great condition with some wear to the gilding as shown. Not bad
considering what most look like after that time. It is 0.875 inches tall
and just under 6 inches in diameter. It is marked extremely well with
the SPM mark under a line in under glaze blue as well as the number 1408
in red and what looks to be an artist mark as shown and some sort of
impressed letter or number.
