Sold my 1974, found some extra parts, most likely from a 1976 parts car. This is a good working starter, Part number 0001311025, works on many BMW of the that age, look at compatibility. interchanges to 0001311045, 000131016.
Starter is in working order. 
Used but working, with rebuilds costing over $100 this is a chance to save some $$$
