·        A LITTLE HISTORY:  First imported into the U.S. late 1960’s – 1970’s through A Giurlani & Bro. in Sunnyvale California USA.  However the exact date is unknown because the Larsen house created these decanters in 1952.  They were authentic Limoges porcelain or glass, hand painted with fine gold.  They created jugs, glass or porcelain, shaped Viking Ship, as well as original forms of bottles that are easily identifiable in their timeless style.  A famous creation in the world, valued at fair value especially by collectors and lovers of good cognac.

·        The Larsen Company was founded in 1926 by Jens Reidar Larsen, a young Norwegian from Tromso, born in Kristiansand in 1895, newly established in the town of Cognac, after landing at Bordeaux in 1919.

·        The Larsen family likes to remember that, contrary to common belief, the historical term “Viking” does not refer to a particular people but a state of mind of the ancient conquerors of the North leaving the Scandinavian coast to sail the seas and up the rivers, including the Charente.

·        In keeping with EBay terms and policies, the decanter / bottle is shipped empty.
