A very collectible Junghans from a time when quartz watches had more than a cheap piece of plastic inside them. The model is known as Megaquartz or Astro Quartz . This is a new old stock that was not sold in the 1970s, and there may be fine storage marks but nothing of significance. Made in Germany and top quality. Junghans cal 667.20 which was cutting edge, using the latest technology in micro electronics and mechanics and part of the history of quartz watch development. These movements seem to run for ever so long as they have a new battery fitted. It has a handsome gold dial with gold/black batons and hands. Furnished with date at 3 and capped with Plexiglas crystal. The case is polished gold plate and a quite chunky and heavy . Fitted on a gold plated , stainless , period style mesh bracelet and adjust up to a large 8" wrist but i also have the original leather strap which is also part of this sale . This watch is in perfect working order and holding time very well. A great addition to any retro collection and a rare find that reflects the technology of its time and tells a little about history.
