THORENS TD124 Xad REPLACEMENT PTFE THRUST PAD WITH NEW PAPER GASKET.
The thrust pad is a little thicker at 1mm and more slippery than the original Thorens nylatron part which is 0.8mm.
Your spindle will therefore ride a little higher. The XG124 gasket is the same thickness as the Thorens part.
To the left of the photo is the new thrust pad. PTFE is used as it has the lowest friction of any plastic.
Both sides can be used - the spindle ball will polish the small contact area as it beds in.
This polished area will still be much smaller than the dent in your old worn Thorens thrust pad.
