King Liberty Model 2B Double Slide Trumpet (H N White) in Nice Case Circa 1958 w/ Vincent Bach Mouthpiece Serial #361373 Circa 1957

Here is a nice Vintage King Liberty Model 2-B Trumpet for your buying consideration.  Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep it for yourself!

Great vintage trumpet from H N White of Cleveland, OH here.  This trumpet is the King Liberty 2-B model.  Very nice emblazoning on the bell.  This trumpet has a double slide that makes it quite preferred by musicians.  The trumpet does come with a Vincent Bach 7C mouthpiece as well.  

This trumpet has the serial number 361373 which would place the manufacture date to around 1957 to 1958.

The bell looks pretty clean.  Nice gold colored lacquer finish  The trumpet has some minor finish loss and scratching, but still looks pretty good.  No major dings.  The slides all move open and close as they should.   We have oiled the valves and the slides.  The bore size of each slide is .5".  The mother of pearl caps on top of the valves are in place.  Some lacquer loss around the rolled edge of the bell.

The 3 valves operate smoothly and I have oiled the valve assemblies and cylinders to keep them from getting any corrosion, they are already quite clean.  Some minor finish loss to the gold colored lacquer, but no pitting or corrosion to the material the trumpet is made of.  Nice emblazoning of the name and maker on the outside of the bell.  The trumpet also comes with a metal music holder.  It is gold colored inside the bell.

No marks on the mouthpiece that would impede play where the lips would make contact with the end.

Comes with what appears to be the original King case for the trumpet.  Finish is still in pretty good shape.  Faux leather and a composite material.  The metal King label is still in place on the outside of the case.  Musty smell on the inside, needs a good airing and use of tea bags to remove the odor.  The latches on the case work well.  The wrapper around the handle is partially gone.  No key for the lock on the case.

The trumpet is 19.5" long (22.25" w/ the mouthpiece in place), by 6.25" wide.  The bell is 4.75" across and the bell opening is 1.5".   

There is also a 1973 Newport Jazz Festival program in the case and a couple of music books. 

This musical instrument is not represented to be in playing condition.  The instrument will most likely need refurbishing to make this instrument playable again.  Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.

Returns Policy

• Returns are accepted by seller within 14 days of receipt of item by buyer, where an item is not as described.  The Buyer will be assessed a 10% restocking fee should they decide to return this item for whatever the reason.
• Please note that a restocking fee is charged to to cover costs related to the loss of listing time and other potential sales, plus the amount of care and time that goes into preparing our unique and fragile items for shipping. 
• In accordance with eBay's Buyer Protection Program, the purchase price plus original shipping cost will be refunded to the buyer once the item has been received by the seller, minus the 10% restocking fee noted.
• Buyer would pay for the return shipping cost and any applicable insurance cost (item is the buyer's financial responsibility until the item is safely returned to the seller by shipper).
