A beautiful Classic English fountain pen. This Conway Stewart "Shorthand" in Black and Gold trim was made circa 1950.

The pen body is engraved " Conway Stewart, Shorthand, Made in England". It has had a new sac fitted, and has been lightly polished.

The Nib has a circular shaped breather hole, and is engraved "Shorthand,Conway, 14 carat Gold,no 3". Tips are in good condition and the pen writes extremely smoothly producing a medium line, with some flex.

There are a few scuffs to the pen body and cap, as you would expect from a 65 ish year old writing instrument. Very few pens of this age are in as good a condition as this one is. A desirable, collectable, Working pen for the discerning writer.
