In March of 1957, Cosmopolitan Doll & Toy Corporation, announced Zippy's USA tour to promote their new 8-inch tall Zippy, along with their "Ginger doll. 

Zip was a very beloved childrens television character and subsequently his likeness was made into several stuffed toys.

There are plenty of the bigger plush bodied Zippys available but this 8-inch, vinyl and fully jointed version is very rare and hard to find.

This cutie is in good vintage condition.
