McIntosh MC-30 Tube Amplifier, Very Good Condition, Clean, Original
Serial numbers: 64-273, 9E013. Tube lineup: 2-6L6GC output, 2 X 12AX7, 12AU7, 12BH7. 5U4G tube rectifier.
Very Good, clean, no rust. Circuit is all original - only the output tube bias supply rectifier diode has been replaced.
Chassis is very clear of any rust. Some "spider webbing" in the chrome on the top deck - see photos. Transformers show some minor scratches. All chassis printed tube designations, front panel control labels, and the rear panel of specification are all there. Original serial number still ink stamped on chassis inside panel.
Circuit voltages have been checked and all are close to McIntosh specifications. No additional service was performed.
The output tubes are a pair of Amplitrex tested RCA & Sylvania 6L6GC (silkscreen on chassis) - see Ampletrex results are in photo . The nine pin tubes can be seen on close-up photos - All 9 pin tubes are as follows: pair of 1960s black plate Sylvania 12AX7, black plate 12BH7, Telefunken 12AU7 , 5U5GB is vintage RCA.
Controls and tube sockets have been cleaned.
Power transformer: M-152-B. Output M-150-B. The power transformer has some minor scratches on top surface.
The amplifier sounds great and will sound great upon delivey.
