A superb and rare example of a World War Two
' Organisation Todt'
screen-print armband as worn by volunteer German civilian technicians
or locally recruited experts in the occupied areas of the
Channel Islands or French Coastal regions hosting
the huge building programme for the
Third Reich's Atlantic Wall defences...
The 'Organisation Todt'
was tasked with overseeing this massive fortification building programme
and recruited many German technicians where available,
or inducted local volunteers with the required specialist skills
in the occupied countries where the huge seas defences were being constructed,
and this armband was worn to indicate the civilian technician
was indeed officially working for the O.T.
Apart from a slight darkening with age, this armband is in excellent condition..
