The Domesday Book talks of a water mill at Huncote where Thurlaston Brook was diverted to feed it. It has been driven by water and steam, and survived whilst its grain was being used as feed for the horses at the nearby Croft Quarry. After half a century of redundancy it was converted to residential use where this item was sourced.

his fine quality Georgian design burr walnut veneered seven drawer chest stands on original ogee moulded bracket feet. Seven drawers in a configuration of three over two over two, three short over two short over and two long. Has plain rails and pilasters and a moulded top with herringbone inlay and burr walnut veneers. It retains original antiqued brass handles. Good Condition
