Silicon Graphics Origin 2000 Deskside Supercomputer. This is a big guy and it won't fit on your desk. Weighs nearly 200 lbs and requires a 240v single phase outlet. This machine boots and and runs and I run it occasionally in a hobbiest environment. Its a big iron mainframe that you can actually run at home without any special infrastructure other than a dryer plug!

Fully loaded with 4 node boards and 2 of the super router modules ready to connect more boxes for a hypercube configuration. Includes key, admin password, Includes Irix boot/install disks and 2 different I/O cards plus a PCI adapter sled. 2 hard drives are installed in the internal rack that accepts up to 5.

All skins in place except missing right corner trim. Have additional left corner trim that could be adapted. Skins in fair to good condition with the usual scratches and scuffs you would expect to see on a 15 year old quarter million dollar supercomputer.

The card slot has been "slightly" modified to accept a graphics card by removing the tabs that normally prevent insertion on a headless mainframe. I will provide the tab that was removed so it can be returned to the original configuration. The current OS configuration boots to a UI on the graphics card. The graphics card can be removed and OS re installed from included disks if desired and access via terminal on alternate io card (included) restores this to a headless mainframe machine.

This is a very large, very heavy, delicate piece of equipment. Local pickup is highly preferred. Because of the size and weight, I will probably have to ship this on a pallet. You will need to let me know if you have a loading dock otherwise an additional charge may apply for a truck with a lift gate. The flat rate charge includes any necessary pallet-zing, padding, and boxing. If shipping turns out to be more economical to your location, I will refund any shipping charge overage at my discretion after considering the actual costs for handling.
