When used as a peeling agent, HERBAL POWER PEEL Resurfacing Exfoliant Powder stimulates new cell growth, elastin and collagen production and improves skin tone and texture. The enzymes contained in the powder dissolve and digest old dead cells from the skin's outer layer and provides bio stimulation to skin cells. 

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Acne/Oily/Troubled/Congested Skin Protocol:  Mix a pinch of HERBAL POWER PEEL with any facial wash, Herbal Power Peel Pigment Blaster Skin Wash for pigmentation issues, and/or a teaspoon of warmed 3%topical  pharmacy grade hydrogen peroxide. Apply paste mixture to entire face and use circular motions to activate the enzyme activity. Scrub the skin for 2-3 minutes keeping the skin wet with water and allow to dry for about 10 minutes. Rinse the face with water and apply skin care products and sunscreen. You will feel a  prickly tingling sensation which is an indication that the treatment is working. (For more intensive treatment, mix powder with an alpha hydroxy cleanser. For advanced lightening treatment, mix powder with Herbal Power Peel Pigment Blaster Skin Wash) May use 3-5 times per week.

Resurfacing Treatment Protocol:  Mix approximately 1/2 -1 teas. of powder with 2-3 teaspoons of any facial cleanser, Herbal Power Peel Pigment Blaster Skin Wash for pigmentation issues or moisturizer and/or warmed 3% topical hydrogen peroxide, jojoba or flax oil, or gentle cleanser like Cetaphil. Scrub the skin for 4-6 minutes keeping the skin wet with water and leave treatment on for 20-30 minutes. (Optional, cover the skin with a wet gauze or cloth mask soaked in water and a splash of 3% hydrogen peroxide for 20-30 minutes) You will feel some tingling and discomfort and the skin may become red and sensitive for up to 24 hours. Rinse the face with water and apply skin care products and sunscreen. There may be some visible flaking in the following 2-3 days. Use weekly or monthly.

Facial Mask: Mix about 1 teaspoon of HERBAL POWER PEEL with any prepared mask, water, clay, oatmeal, jojoba oil, few drops tea tree oil, or yoghurt. Do not scrub the skin. Allow to dry for 20-30 minutes. May use weekly.

Deeper Peeling Treatment: Clean skin with alcohol. Wear gloves. Protect vulnerable areas like corners of mouth and side of nose with vaseline. Mix 1 Teaspoon of powder with about 2-3 teaspoons of suggested warmed liquids such as  facial cleanser, Herbal Power Peel Pigment Blaster Skin Wash for pigmentation issues,  any moisturizer and/or pharmacy grade topical 3% hydrogen peroxide and massage paste into skin using circular motions for 6-10 minutes. (Warm ingredients in microwave for a few seconds) ( 3% Hydrogen Peroxide aids in the penetration of the peel, but is optional.) Keep skin wet by continually applying water to the skin. Leave treatment on skin for 20-30 minutes and cover skin with gauze or cloth mask soaked in water and a splash of 3% hydrogen peroxide. Rinse the skin with water and do not apply anything for 24 hours. The skin should be quite sensitive, irritated, red and some swelling may occur. For more intensive treatment, on day 2, repeat the same process. In the next few days, the skin will become very tight and leathery and will begin to peel for the next few days. On day 3, apply Aquaphor, Vaseline or A&D ointment several times a day until all skin has shed. (Do not pull off any loose skin, trim off with small scissors) Also splash or mist the skin several times a day with 1 teaspoon white vinegar mixed with 1 cup water to cleanse, soften and calm the skin. Only use Cetaphil to wash the skin and the above ointments to hydrate. For best results, do not get the skin  very wet for 5 days. The skin could flake and shed for 1 week. (For more intensive treatment, mix powder with an alpha hydroxy cleanser. For advanced lightening treatment, mix powder with Herbal Power Peel Pigment Blaster Skin Wash) Use every 4-6 weeks

*Do not perform the deeper peel if you are prone to cold sores or herpes breakouts. You must take Zovirex or Valtrex before, during and after peel.

*Do not use any acids,  harsh scrubs or prescription acne medicine 5 days prior to or 3 weeks after the deeper peel.

*Do not pull off any pieces of skin, you may trim with small scissors.

*Darker and Ethnic skins could darken. Pre-treat skin with lightening agents for 1 month prior peel and 1 month post peel to avoid post inflammatory darkening of the skin.

* Herbal Power Peel does not actually contain ingredients designed to lighten the skin. It is the exfoliating properties of the peel that can help remove some pigmentation. We recommend mixing the peel powder with a lightening product to facilitate skin lightening.

*Do not expose the skin to sun! Always use full sunblock.

Aww brilliant! Just some further feedback on the Collagen Induction Micro- Needle Tool.  I used it last night and I can feel I have had a good treatment. All I can say is Wow!! I am so glad I found this product! I was doing a search on Green Peel and a person had suggested this product so I looked it up. I don't think a lot of people know about Herbal Power Peel. For me, it doesn't take a lot of convincing because I am so desperate to find anything that will work for me and I am so glad I bought it. My skin is so dull, sensitive, prone to acne, oily, sun damaged, and most of all I wanted to find something to make my icepick scars less visible. I have tried so many facial treatments like AHA's, Microdermabrasion, Diamond Peel, Oxygen Facial, Photodynamic Therapy ( gave me hyper-pigmentation), Derma Roller and Green Peel. The Green Peel is the only thing that worked for me, but it cost like $500 per deep peel session. If you have ever tried the Green Peel and liked it, you will love this product. It is basically the same thing, but for 75 bucks, it actually works the same and is better than any night cream whatsoever. I would buy a truck load. Just like the Green Peel, it regulates sebum. I had a few pimples before my first treatment and immediately they came up to the surface without having to pop them. My skin felt smoother and more even in tone and texture I am excited to see continuous  results. I also love that it contains natural ingredients and is easy to use. It feels like you are scrubbing your face with fiberglass, but for some reason, it feels good. I guess, because I can feel it working. The only con is the smell…it's like you're laying on a fresh cut grass next to a pile of dog poo you didn't know was there, LOL, but it's tolerable. It is a little painful, almost like getting a sunburn, but it's also tolerable. I highly recommend this product.

So I went to the spa and have slight acne. I have old red acne scars and wanted to get my face in shape now that i am in my late 20's. I got a green herbal peel done in the spa for $175 and realized i could do it at home since its really easy to use.

So, you basically mix it with water and apply it on a clean face. USE GLOVES. You put vaseline on the corners of your mouth and nose. It is important that you do not scrub close to the corners of your mouth because they will be so dry they will crack. Ok, so you keep it away from your eyes and mouth and scrub it in circular motions all over your face and down your neck a bit. You keep rubbing it in until you can't stand it anymore because it starts feeling like your rubbing sand paper on your face. Don't rub it in for more than 10 minutes. Concentrate the scrubbing on areas that you most want to peel, for me its my cheeks. Once your face feels raw and you can't stand it anymore cover your face in a damp towel and leave it on for 5-15 minutes. Then gently rinse off with water. Your face will be pretty red like your sunburned. You can apply a toner or light moisturizer if you want. Your skin will feel like little needles if you touch it. 3 days after you do it your face will peel. DO NOT PICK IT. Let it peel naturally and snip any pieces hanging off with scissors, but do not pull off. Pulling it off will damage skin. Once your skin starts peeling, you want it to stay dry so it really peels. Putting moisturizer on will just keep it from peeling which is not the point. Only use moisturizer if its uncomfortable. 5-7 days after you applied it you can take an exfoliating scrub or brush and gently but thoroughly scrub the skin to get the rest of the excess dry skin off.

It really does amazing things when used as the deep peel like this. Using it as just a face wash etc. won't give you extreme results. If you use it like a deep peel then each time you use it, it will remove more and more scaring and more and more discoloration from sun spots etc. I would recommend for starters using it once than waiting a week and doing it again. That is what they did to me in the spa before I realized i could do it myself. My acne scars were reduced by half and I can't wait to take them all away with this at home.

I personally was recommended to get on the Nu-Derm system and its AMAZING. You should only buy it from a spa, dermatologists, or essentialdayspa.com because there are a lot of fakes out there. I got it to cure my acne, fine lines, and even my skin tone. I am 59, with a very sensitive, rosacea prone skin. My skin is otherwise quite good, not too many wrinkles., but a bit flaccid. I had tried Dr.Schrammek's party peel once before. I asked the owner, before trying it. We agreed that I should be very careful. I put it on and used it as a mask for 10 minutes the first time. Next time, I rubbed a little bit after the 10 minutes were up. I had some breakouts the first few times, some stuff that came out. I have used it a few times now, about once a month. Last time I hardly became red after, so next time I will increase a little bit. It is the rubbing more than the time that affects the outcome. I also use it on my neck and decollete, but here one has to be very careful. I just put it on and wash it right off again. I am so pleased with the results. Before, my skin was grayish. Now it looks much more healthy, toned and vibrant. The jar will last me a long time, and I will definitely buy again.

HERBAL POWER PEEL RESURFACING EXFOLIANT POWDER PROFESSIONAL TRAINING GUIDE


Skin peels have been reported in medical literature since 1941, when Eller and Wolff described their use in the treatment of acne and scars of the face. Skin peels are a type of controlled wounding with resultant collagen stimulation and resurfacing of the skin. With the increased interest in non-surgical skin rejuvenation, skin peeling has had a resurgence because of its low cost, ease, safety and availability.


 Skin disorders that may benefit from Herbal Power Peel Resurfacing Exfoliant include:


* Acne

* Light scarring

* Photodamage

* Actinic kerotoses

* Fine lines and wrinkles

* Pigmentary disorders


Chemical peels are divided into three categories depending on the depth of the wounding. Superficial peels penetrate the epidermis only, while medium-depth peels damage the entire epidermis and the papillary and upper reticular dermis. Deep peels penetrate to the mid-reticular dermis. Client selection, skin priming and peel selection are important for optimum results with minimum side effects. Herbal Power Peel may be classified as a superficial to medium depth peel.


A complete skin history should be reviewed with the client and should include any eczema, sensitive skin syndrome, herpes simplex, nicotine use, oral isotretinion use, HIV, Seborrhea and the history of all topical formulations, including retinoids, acids and skin care products. Clients with a history of eczema or sensitive skin will react more to the peeling agents and will require a lower strength treatment. Clients with very oily sebaceous skin may require a more aggressive treatment and pre-peel degreasing.


Skin type and the degree of photo-damage must be assessed before administering the deeper peel. Skin type can be classified by using the Fitzpatrick skin type scale. This scale is important when deciding how aggressive the peel should be. The Fitzpatrick skin type scale is used to predict a patient’s pigmentary response to chemical peeling agents. Light skinned Fitzpatrick skin types I and II can usually be treated safely while darker types III-V have a higher risk of developing post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation (PIH). PIH or skin darkening can be usually be prevented by pre-treating with lightening agents before, during and after the peel.


Included in the pre-peel consultation are the signed consent forms,  the clarification of the pre-peel and post peel instructions, supplies to have on hand at home, and a realistic discussion of the results. Clients are informed that for best results, Herbal Power Peel is usually done in a series of treatments.


Pre-treatment preparation two to four weeks before the peel ensures an even take of the peeling agents by thinning the epidermal barrier, accelerating wound healing and reducing post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Agents used may include lactic acid, salicylic acid, Kojic acid, hydroquinone, retinols,  alpha hydroxy acids and azelaic acid. The side effects of the  advanced deeper skin peeling treatment can include the following:


Edema- Redness and possibly swelling are to be expected with Herbal Power Peel. Ice packs and cool water compresses are helpful.


Pain- There may some uncomfortable sensations lasting from 1-3 days. It is advisable to take pain relievers before and after the peel.


Persistent Erythemia- This is a natural response of the herbal peel and may last a few days to a week. Mature, fragile and thinning skin can have a tendency to flush and facial capillaries can dilate. 


Acne- Acneform eruptions can occur due to the occlusive nature of the emollient creams that are utilized during the healing. This is self-limiting and they usually resolve on their own. 


Infection- The peeling agents are germicidal however the occlusive ointments with petrolatum could promote the growth of Streptococcus or Staph infections.



HSV- Non chemical peels can activate a herpes reaction that could result in scarring. Herpetic infection presents as a painful erosion, not a vesicle, due to the lack of an intact epidermis. Pre-treatment with an anti-viral will diminish the possibility of an outbreak.


Milia-  Whiteheads can occur 1-3 weeks after the peel and are due to the occlusive ointments that are used. Extractions with a lancet may be necessary.


PIH- Post Inflammatory Hyper-pigmentation is darkening caused by the trauma of a peel in darker and Ethnic skin types. A lightening agent is mandatory before, during and after any type of chemical peel.
