This is a very attractive Late 19th Century Gilt Metal Mantle Clock by William L. Gilbert, one of the foremost American clock makers.
It's face and lavish scroll work is well preserved. It's wear consistent with age and use.
The mechanism is not in working order but there appears to be no structural damage visible to the naked eye.
