I have two of these. Each is a stereo amp that you can bridge (merge the channels) to use as a separate channel in a stereo configuration (200 watts per channel ). Or you can use all four channels for front and rear speakers in a home theater configuration. Bridging them is very easy:
  1. Make sure the amps and preamp are off.
  2. Connect the R channel from the preamp to the R input jack on one of the amps.
  3. Connect the L channel from the preamp to the R input jack on the other amp.
  4. Set the Bridging switch to Mono on both amps.
  5. Use Speaker Group A on both amps.
  6. Connect the positive (red) wire from speaker A to the red R+ terminal and the negative (black) wire to the red L+ terminal on one of the amps.
  7. Do the same to connect speaker B to the other amp.
  8. Don't connect anything to either the L- or R- speaker terminals.
I have the original boxes but not the inside packaging.

75 watts-per-channel into 8 ohms, both channels driven
125 watts-per-channel into 4 ohms, both channels driven
200 watts when bridged to mono into 4 or 8 ohms

The watts-per-channel ratings don't represent how powerful these amps are. It's sort of an inside joke among audiophiles. There are high-end 20 watt-per-channel amps that sound incredible and will blow your house down.

The size is also misleading. When you pick one up, you realize that the same amount of mass usually comes in a case twice the size. I don't recommend stacking them though. All powerful amps need airflow.

I'll send you the owner's manual in PDF on request.

Parasound describes the 275 as "the most compact member of our NewClassic line of high end home theater products. Each of this cool-running power amplifier's two channels can deliver 75 watts into 8 ohms, 125 watts into 4 ohms, 125 watts into 2 ohms, and 200 watts when bridged to mono into 4 or 8 ohms. This exceptionally rugged amplifier is equally capable of driving high quality home theater and stereo loudspeakers, or chains of in-wall and ceiling speakers."

17.25" Wide
16" Deep, with connectors
2.5" High with feet, 1.75" panel only
Net Weight 21 lbs
Rack mount accessory may be purchased separately

Should one of these ever fail, you can get it repaired very easily. If you buy a consumer brand that fails, the technician will laugh you out the door.
