800C Tube Stereo Receiver 

I receintely received this Fisher 800C Receiver from its original owner. He said he purchased it new in 1963. It has not been powered up in years. He told me he had it stored in his closet for many years.

 I slowly powered this up. I was able to tune in stations. The volume was scratchy. I was not able to test all the functions. I listened to this for about 10 minutes. The stereo and mono switch and lighting work well. After 10 minutes, the volume slowly decreased and I was not able to tune in any more stations. There was no smoke and no odor. 

 The chassis has some age to it, but I did clean off a couple of spots and it really shined. It does not have the original tubes. It does not have the cabinet.

 Being offered here for restoration, I would think this would be a very good candidate. The purchaser should have a good knowledge of this type of gear and be able to do any repairs or maintenance it may need. Again, it hasnt been in a working environment in years.

Being offered as-is for restoration., it will be a good buy for someone who is good with this sort of gear. Please view the many photos provided, including the last 2 photos where I took the bottom cover off so you could see.
